After leaving Austin, we drove through Waco and stayed in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where we experienced our first rodeo.

We did both tourist and local activities in Austin, from eating BBQ and shopping for cowboy boots to working out and going to the movies.

We kicked off our road trip driving through the deserts of California and Arizona, stopping by old towns and national parks along the way.
